Established in 2016, the high-field NMR facility is the first lab in Singapore that provides access to high-field solid-state NMR and has capabilities for solid-state, solution-state and MRI. It supports a wide variety of research across NTU scientific community in the fields of structural biology, chemistry, medicine and material science.
The facility is located in School of Physical & Mathmatical Sciences PAP 01-15 and hosts two state-of-the-art high-field NMR spectrometers, a Bruker Avance III HD 800 MHz (18.8 T) standard-bore NMR spectrometer and a Bruker Avance III HD 600 MHz (14.1 T) wide-bore NMR spectrometer. The 800 MHz spectrometer is equipped with three solid-state MAS probes (3.2 mm H/C/N Efree, 1.9 mm H/C/N and 0.7 mm H/C/N ultrafast MAS probe) and one solution-state QCI H/P/C/N CryoProbe. The 600 MHz spectrometer is equipped with four solid-state MAS probes (3.2 mm H/C/N Efree, 1.9 mm H/X/Y, 0.7 mm H/C/N ultrafast MAS and 4 mm H/X probe), one HR-MAS probe (4 mm H/C/D/N probe) and one micro-imaging probe.Bruker Avance III HD 800 MHz (18.8 T) standard-bore NMR spectrometerBruker Avance III HD 600 MHz (14.1 T) wide-bore NMR spectrometer
